Sloshing, or the forced movement of liquids in partially full containers, has long been a problem in mechanical and aerospace engineering. SLOSH-ML makes analyzing the behavior of such liquids simpler by implementing mechanical analogies, such as systems of pendulums and springs, to determine sloshing modes and frequencies.

Features

  • Input 3D models of custom tanks, use provided tank geometries, or draw their own contours to analyze.

  • Create mechanical analogies like spring-mass systems and pendulums to model sloshing with at certain number of modes.

  • Calculate damping ratios in five different tank configurations, including a cylindrical tank with baffles.

  • Determine sloshing behavior of different liquids at varying accelerations.
